Steven Hicks is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Human Machine Communication at the University of Toronto Mississauga — Institute of Communication, Culture, Information, and Technology. Steve’s previous studies explored human subjects’ interaction with and through historical media, leading him to his emerging research interests exploring the role of sound in our interactions with our contemporary media environment. In addition to his work as a researcher, Steve also serves on teaching teams at UTM ICCIT and for the Book & Media Studies program at St. Michael’s College (U of T).
