ECO400Y5 internship student wins national award

ECO400Y5 academic internship student Phoenix Seelochan was recently awarded the 2024 Emery-Dufault Student of the Year Award at the national level by CEWIL Canada for her achievements in advancing work-integrated learning during her placement with the NATO Association of Canada.  

Under the guidance of course instructor Kathleen Yu, PhD and Internship Coordinator Ramya Uthayakumar, MEd Phoenix excelled in her placement as Program Editor for the Environment, Climate Change, and Security Program, she has published critical analyses on the intersection of climate change and global security, shaping policy discussions at high levels.
