Undergrad Teaching Lab Facilities

Welcome to the Undergraduate Laboratories of Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences at UTM.

Our newly renovated Chemistry Undergraduate Laboratories are located on the third floor of the William G. Davis Building. The major renovation of our labs was completed in 2013 and has allowed us to offer chemistry undergraduate courses to a larger number of students. The chemistry lab consists of two large laboratories (DV3065 & DV3075), servicing laboratory courses and providing instrumentation facilities to research groups and graduate students.

The department has seven lab technical staffs and teaching assistants who are readily available while the labs are running.

Our Earth Science Teaching labs are located on the 2nd floor of the Davis building (DV2060 & DV2062). For more information regarding these labs, please visit: https://www.utm.utoronto.ca/cps/welcome-earth-science-ers-teaching-labs

The Physics Teaching Labs are located on the 1st floor of the Davis Building near the Bookstore, and consist of: advanced project and storage area, several darkrooms, and a staff office and prep space. This space was freshly renovated at the end of 2013 from the old Spigel Hall. All experiments for undergraduate-level physics courses are offered here, and our equipment ranges from basic mechanics setups all the way to an atomic force microscope (AFM) that can achieve single atom resolution.
