The Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences wishes to recognize and celebrate graduate student’s major research accomplishments by awarding graduate students with the CPS First Paper Award. This award will be given to all current graduate students who publish their first lead authored paper while working in a CPS lab under the supervision of CPS faculty member(s). Current students who published a first lead authored paper prior to the inception of this award in October 2023 will still be eligible for the award.
Awardees will receive a $50 gift card, award certificate, and an invitation to the CPS Awards Night in recognition of this achievement. The award details will also be promoted throughout the department in a form of the weekly digest, digital signage and on the news section of the CPS website. Past or current recipients of the CPS Best Paper award are still eligible for this award.
