Review our sample resumes below to get some ideas of different ways to present your information but also ensure you research your career area for resume norms.
These resumes are samples, not templates. Your resume needs to make it easy for the employer to see your demonstrated qualifications. Also read about Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) as many employers use ATS to screen resumes.
You don't need to have the same style resume as your classmates (unless you are applying to a position or academic program that gives you specific guidelines or industry norms.
Whatever format you choose to start with, it doesn't mean that you have to follow it exactly. The most important thing is that the format supports your key message and that the information is displayed consistently (e.g. same style, font, bolding throughout the document).
Please note that these are samples for resumes to be used when you are applying for jobs. If you are looking for tips on your applications to graduate and professional schools, please visit our Further Education information
