About the Creative Showcase

The Creative Showcase is a competition to examine student perceptions of inclusion at UTM. Simply put, we want you to answer what inclusion at UTM means to you. Students will have an opportunity to submit a piece of art (e.g., written, visual or performance), and be selected as part of the finalists to perform in our final event on March 2nd, 2022. Finalists will be invited to the Creative Showcase event, where their submissions will be presented to the judging committee. The panel of judges will be responsible for selecting the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners based on a curated rubric.

1st Place - Joshua Mvunga
This original song highlights the artiste's journey as an international student at UTM.
2nd Place - Ethan Sansom
This video, made with the programming language Python, showcases community building at UTM based on personal experience.
3rd Place - Hayley Park
This digital illustration emphasizes the diverse representation of women seen throughout the UTM campus.
