Good luck to everyone running in this weekend's Mississauga Marathon!
Important info about access to the UTM campus on Sunday, April 28:
A reminder that the 2024 Mississauga Marathon will take place this Sunday, April 28, 2024. Access to the UTM campus and to campus roadways will be affected between 6:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Mississauga Road will be closed in both directions from Dundas Street to Burnhamthorpe Road during this time. Except for emergency services vehicles, no vehicles will be permitted on the campus roadways during the closure period. Peel Regional Police and Campus Safety will be available to assist during this time.
Please plan your activities to avoid the road closures. Please also be aware that Mississauga Road will be closed to all northbound traffic between Burnhamthorpe Road and Lakeshore Boulevard from 7 a.m. 12 p.m.
Please drive with extra caution if you are in the area of any marathon events or participants.
UTM Shuttle Bus
At UTM, the 9 a.m. shuttle bus pickup location will be temporarily moved to the corner of Mississauga Road and The Collegeway. Regular stop location resumes for the 12 p.m. departure.
MiWay
- There will be no direct service to UTM during the marathon.
- Routes 1c and 44 (which normally stop on campus) will layover at South Common Terminal.
- Other local routes will also be impacted with stops missed due to road closures.
