Shruti Kharadi holds a Master's degree in Digital Health Technologies and has a Global Health background. She now works as a Digital Health Transformation Consultant in the healthcare industry. Her career began in digital health marketing for pharmaceutical companies leading creative, digital and social media team success for multiple brands from strategic activation to launch. Her passion for improving healthcare access in underserved communities pushed her to broaden her focus and shift her work toward her passion, Global Health. Today, as a Digital Health Transformation Consultant, Shruti uses her expertise to develop sustainable digital solutions that improve healthcare access using digital tools and technologies in a sustainable and scalable manner. Most recently, she consulted for the United Nations and successfully secured funding to lead a feasibility study to determine the scope and strategy for digital transformation projects for comprehensive patient information management within central hospitals in Lao PDR.
How did your experience in the MBiotech program contribute to your career success?
The MBiotech DHT program enabled me to shift my career from a project manager to a strategist and consultant. The courses offered made me a subject matter expert in digital health, opening up opportunities in global health. The practical tools gave me a solid foundation in human design, health technology, trend forecasting, advanced data analytics/modelling, and the regulatory landscape, which I use to inform digital health solution strategies.
What are some of the key skills and knowledge you acquired during the MBiotech program that are still valuable to you today?
Industry network, practical tools for guiding decision-making in the digital health sector, and a comprehensive understanding of digital and technology trends
What advice would you give to current MBiotech students or recent graduates who are entering the job market?
Be open-minded and willing to consider and accept new ideas, perspectives, and opinions, this will foster learning and growth through an open outlook.
Are there any memorable or transformative experiences from your time in the MBiotech program that you would like to share?
The opportunity to work on projects at a professional and practical level and present ideas to industry leaders.
Any major accomplishment/achievement/award you would like to share with us?
Invited to be a guest lecturer after graduating from the MBiotech, DHT program to help empower students and provide them with practical tools and knowledge as they enter the workforce.
