How did your experience in the MBiotech program contribute to your career success?

The MBiotech program served as a launchpad for my career in the commercial side of the pharma industry. It exposed me to different career paths and areas of the industry beyond medical/clinical and opened new doors and opportunities for me.

What are some of the key skills and knowledge you acquired during the MBiotech program that are still valuable to you today?

I credit the MBiotech program for setting the foundation of skills I’ve come to use again and again as a leader in the pharma industry: nurturing relationships, handling conflict, working as part of a cohesive team and innovation to deliver results under various constraints. This focus on key skills combined with the deep MBiotech alumni network has been invaluable to me.

What advice would you give to current MBiotech students or recent graduates who are entering the job market?

Be curious - and stay curious. Career paths in the industry are evolving and the skills needed in the future won’t necessarily be the same as they’ve been historically. If you show interest in taking things on that others might not be familiar with or aware of, you can make an impact no matter the level of your career.

Are there any memorable or transformative experiences from your time in the MBiotech program that you would like to share?

Working on a real-world challenge for GE with a team of brilliant, dedicated individuals who were very different from me was an incredible experience filled with invaluable lessons, friendships and memories made along the way.
