Welcome to UTM: Open house offers inside look at campus life

The University of Toronto Mississauga opened its doors for the March Open House, a campus-wide event that gave future students a firsthand look at the programs, people and possibilities that could shape their next chapter.
From meet-and-greets to hands-on demos, the event offered an immersive introduction to the UTM experience.
Guests explored academic and student service booths, attended admissions information sessions and joined guided tours of classrooms, labs and residence spaces — offering a preview of the campus community they could soon call home.
Interactive Digital Producer Nick Iwanyshyn was on hand to capture some of the highlights.

The student services fair spotlighted campus resources and community groups, including Black@UTM — an initiative that supports Black students, staff and faculty through community-building, leadership and anti-racism efforts.

Rain or shine, prospective students hit the pavement to explore UTM on guided tours.

From microscopes to skeletons, visitors got a glimpse of how UTM’s biology department brings science to life.

The UTM Library booth spotlighted creations from the Digital Exploration Lab, where students can experiment with 3D printing, VR and more.

Guests got a bones-and-all tour of the specimens students use to interact with the past in the anthropology lab.

Hands-on displays invited visitors to get a feel for the kinds of discoveries they could make at UTM.

Assisted therapy dog Dino brought the warm-and-fuzzy side of campus life — in exchange for a few pats
