OSAP Funding for Micro-credentials
The Ontario Student Assistance Program has recently began to offer funding for micro-credentials, including some programs offered by IMIx Executive Programs. This new resource is part of Ontario’s micro-credentials strategy, helping learners access more opportunities to train or upskill for in-demand jobs through loans and grants. This micro-credential benefit refers specifically to short, professional development programs like those offered through IMIx.
Visit the University Registrar's Office website for more information on OSAP eligibility and application instructions.

Eligible Programs
The following certificate programs that we offer are eligible for OSAP Micro-Credentials funding:
Once you have selected a short IMIx certificate program and confirmed its OSAP eligibility, apply for the program. Enrollment in IMIx programs will require paying fees upfront. Students must pay to register and can expect the OSAP funds to act as reimbursement.
Log-in to your OSAP account to apply for funding for micro-credentials.
Once you have completed your application, you will receive communication through your OSAP account, which will guide you in completing a supplementary form on the Service Portal. You can access the form here.
The form requires the following information:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Name of Program
- Program Study Period – start and end dates
This must be completed by the end of the study period.
IMIx will confirm the information that you have submitted is correct and confirm your registration status.
The University Registrar’s Office will update the OSAP for Micro-credentials Application with the information provided by both you and IMIx and process your confirmation of enrolment.
Note: you must be registered in an OSAP approved micro-credential program before OSAP funding will be issued/released.
If you have further questions, please see these resources:
Participants are responsible for understanding and abiding by IMIx's application policies and OSAP's eligibility requirements and terms.
