Join us for Black Career Pathways in STEM to hear from Black professionals as they share with Black-identifying students and recent graduates about their career paths and education in STEM, their challenges and successes along the way, and the lessons learned as they continue to navigate their futures.
The event will consist of two panel discussions as well as networking opportunities to connect 1:1 with alumni panelists. The U of T Black Alumni Association will also be present to connect with students and recent alumni about staying connected post-graduation.
Through a moderated panel discussion and audience participation, attendees will:
- Identify one to two alternative career options or non-linear pathways that utilize a STEM degree
- Address the financial challenges in pursuing graduate/professional school education
- Learn to be comfortable researching and exploring universities and post-graduate education options
- Identify two or three skills that they would like to showcase or develop to support their career journeys in STEM
- Connect directly with Black professionals in various fields and post-graduate degree programs.
Register to attend this event.
Food and beverages will be provided
Please note that this event is directed to self-identifying Black students and recent graduates to collectively create a space that enhances the Black experience at UTM and strengthens community connections, but all are welcome to attend.
