Kids' Passport to UTM
The University of Toronto Mississauga was brimming with energy and excitement on November 30 as alumni and their families came together for Kids’ Passport event. With over 650 attendees exploring campus, the event transformed familiar spaces into a lively hub of discovery, play, and reconnection.
Alumni children raced from station to station, passports in hand, eagerly collecting stamps and participating in over 30 activations hosted by UTM departments. From hands-on experiments with the Child Language and Speech Studies Lab to fingerprinting with Forensic Science, every corner of the campus offered a new adventure.
The event also featured captivating live entertainment, from magic shows to the whimsical antics of Flowerpot the Clown. Children and parents alike enjoyed face painting, caricature sketches, and photo booth sessions, while the UTM Eagle mascot posed for selfies throughout the day.
Beyond the fun and games, Kids’ Passport exemplified the spirit of UTM’s commitment to fostering lifelong connections with alumni. Guests were reintroduced to the University’s vibrant research initiatives and community-focused campaigns through engaging departmental showcases.
“Kids' Passport was an exceptional experience, seamlessly blending fun and learning. It was incredible to see my kids so excited about learning and exploring the same campus that shaped my own journey”, Fatima Ul-Haq (HBSc ‘07) shared. “I would highly encourage everyone to go, even if you don’t have kids!”
