Resources for Students

We understand that the academic year can be stressful for students, especially when dealing with personal and/or academic issues. You may be at risk of committing an academic offence(s) when trying to cope with challenging circumstances. Below is a list of academic and personal resources available for your transition through university.


Mental Health Resources

Mental Health Supports
The Office of Student Affairs and Services has created a new Mental Health Supports Website. It assists students, faculty, and staff—wherever they now live—with finding the appropriate wellness resources and to connect with meaningful forms of support. The website organizes mental health resources by category and location, noting instances where the University of Toronto shares support services with the larger community.

Health & Counselling Centre
Offers personal counselling, group counselling and psychiatric care to assist students experiencing a wide range of challenges.

U of T Telus Health Student Support
Provides students with real-time and/or appointment-based confidential, 24-hour support for any school, health, or general life concern at no cost to you. You can call or chat with a counsellor directly from your phone whenever, wherever you are. Ongoing support is available over the phone in 146 languages. Immediate support is available over the phone in 35 languages and over chat in simplified Chinese, English, French and Spanish.

Good2Talk 
Ontario's new helpline for post-secondary students offers professional counselling, mental health and addictions information, and connections to local resources.

Academic and Advising Supports

Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre
Offers a full range of workshops, seminars and individual consultations to help UTM students identify and develop the skills they need for success in their studies

Accessibility Services
Offers services and academic accommodations to students who have a documented learning, physical, sensory, mental health disability or medical condition.

International Education Centre 
Offers services, transitional programming, and a place to call home for both international and internationally-minded students studying at UTM.

Office of the Registrar 
The Office of the Registrar supports undergraduate students with course enrolment, registration and academic planning. You can book an appointment with an academic advisor to discuss course planning for the upcoming school terms and to obtain information on ways you can maintain your cGPA.

Career Centre 
The UTM Career Centre provides many resources and supports for students who are interested in building their resume of experiences or for learning more about various career options after graduation. The Career Centre also hosts the Career & Co-Curricular Learning Network (CLNx), which provides listings of various volunteer and work opportunities that are available to UofT students and new graduates.

Math Learning Centre
The Math Learning Centre (located in Deerfield Hall, room 2027) provides assistance for students who have questions about 1st and 2nd year math courses. Teaching assistants from the math department are available to assist students with course material. 

Writing at the University of Toronto 
This website provides helpful information about UofT's expectations in academic writing, including useful tips on researching, editing, and referencing.


Academic Integrity Case Assistance

Downtown Legal Services (University Affairs Division) 
Downtown Legal Services is both a community legal clinic and a clinical education program, operated by the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto.
