A student's first point in contact when they have academic integrity concerns is often their instructor and so, it is important to promote academic integrity in your classrooms regularly. Students tend to be unaware that they may be committing an academic offence and/or do not understand the implications of breaching the University's Code of Behaviour on Academic Matters and so, reinforcing the principles of honesty and fairness always helps create a positive learning environment.
We also encourage instructors from all disciplines to collaborate and share tips on how they educate their students on the importance of academic honesty.
