We are proud to offer scholarships and awards to both celebrate your achievements, contributions to your community, and support your education. While some awards are merit based, others may also consider financial need.

  • Awarded to a full-time U of T Mississauga student in Year 3 of a Specialist or Major Environment Program

Harold Sonny Ladoo Book Prize for Creative Writing
  • Awarded to a full-time or part-time U of T Mississauga student with outstanding creative writing
  • Submissions are reviewed by a committee in the Department of English & Drama and the winning submission(s) are housed in the U of T Mississauga Library
  • Open to students in any year of study

  • Awarded to a full-time undergraduate U of T Mississauga student in their graduating year who intends to pursue graduate studies in a Master of Arts Program in English
  • Preference will be given to students who have applied to the University of Toronto Master of Arts Program in English

  • Academic merit is also considered

Mississauga Board of Trade In-Course Award in Commerce and Management
  • Awarded to a full-time U of T Mississauga student upon completion of Year 1
  • Must be enrolled in either a Management (Major) or Commerce (B.Com) Program
  • Have extensive involvement in community-based volunteer activities
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Academic merit is also considered
  • Preference is given to students who are Mississauga residents

  • Must be aged 18-23 on 1st October 2024 (i.e. you must have been born after 1 October 2000 and before 2 October 2006)
  • Is domiciled in Canada

  • Full-time UTM students participating in a Study Abroad program, Exchange Program or an independently arranged Research Opportunity with an institution approved and recognized by UTM

  • Full-time UTM student enrolled in an Anthropology Specialist, Major or Minor

  • Submission of an original essay or relevant coursework that reflects the theme of “non-violence in international relations”. Submissions of existing work may include, but are not limited to: presentations, recorded talks, photo essays, videos, or podcasts

  • Full-time UTM student living on-campus with extensive involvement in the community and Student Residence activities
  • Attained a minimum CGPA of 2.0

UTM Student Recognition Award of Achievement
  • Full-time student in Year 2 or higher at UTM
  • Obtained a CGPA of at least 3.0
  • Involved in extra-curricular activities related to U of T Mississauga
  • This award is chosen by the UTM Student Recognition Award of Achievement Committee, comprised of students serving on the UTMSU
