Strike by CUPE 3902, Unit 1 – Campus Open, Potential delays accessing campus
The University of Toronto Mississauga is open, and classes, exams, events and community programs are proceeding as normal.
There may be picketing at the three entrances to the UTM campus, and as a result, there may be delays accessing campus.
MiWay & Shuttle Buses
If you can avoid bringing a vehicle onto campus, you may wish to consider using Mississauga Transit or being dropped off on Mississauga Road, then walking onto campus.
Mississauga Transit will load and unload UTM passengers at signed, temporary stops along Mississauga Road. For current information on Mississauga Transit route modifications, visit www.miway.ca/alerts. MiWay transit operators are part of a unionized bargaining unit, and they are not required to cross a legal picket line. For more information, please contact MiWay.
Scheduled users of Peel TransHelp should contact the TransHelp dispatcher regarding any impacts on drop-off/pick-up locations.
Due to possible disruptions associated with picketing by CUPE 3902, Unit 1, U of T Mississauga will temporarily relocate its shuttle bus stops off-campus for UTM/St. George and UTM/Sheridan shuttles at both the Mississauga and St. George campuses.
At the Mississauga Campus: The alternate shuttle stop location at UTM will be in place for shuttle service between the hours of 7:35 a.m. and 6:55 p.m. for UTM/St. George and UTM/Sheridan shuttles. The alternate location will be near UTM’s main entrance at the north-west corner of Mississauga Road and The Collegeway. UTM service outside of these hours will use the regular shuttle bus stop locations at UTM.
At the St. George Campus: The alternate shuttle stop location at St. George will be in place for all shuttle service for the full duration of the strike. The alternate location will be on the corner of Hoskin Avenue and Tower Road, behind Hart House.
View a map of the alternate shuttle bus locations here. Further information about shuttle transportation for the UTM/St. George and UTM/Sheridan shuttle buses will be posted at on-campus shuttle bus shelters.
Campus parking lots will remain available, and normal parking control measures will remain in effect. Off campus, the City of Mississauga enforces "No Parking" zones, does not allow parking over sidewalks or on paved boulevards adjacent to driveways. Legal street parking in Mississauga is limited to three hours unless otherwise posted. For Mississauga Parking Control inquiries, call 905-896-5678.
