Academic Plan 2024-2029

UTM has embarked on the development of a new divisional academic plan, which will guide the academic portfolio in prioritizing its goals over the next five years. The plan is informed in part by UTM’s Strategic Framework and the recent provostial review

The development process is supported by an Academic Planning Task Force comprised of faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

The work of the Task Force will be informed by a range of inputs, including submissions from academic units; a survey of faculty, staff, and librarians; and deputations from students and other groups whose perspectives have not otherwise been captured.

NB: Further information and materials will be posted here as they become available.

A call for submissions from each academic unit went out in the Dean’s Digest November 29, 2023 and was discussed at the Chairs, Directors, and Department Managers Meeting (CDDM) on December 5, 2023

Deputations took place in person on campus Tuesday, January 23, 2024. We heard from a variety of student groups.

A survey of faculty, staff, and librarians opened on Wednesday, January 24 and will close at midnight on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. [Faculty, staff and librarians can check their inbox for a link to the survey.]
