Fraser McCallum (he/him) has been Project Coordinator at the Blackwood since 2019. In this role, he works on exhibitions, public programs, virtual programming, and publications. At the Blackwood, he curated the exhibition and program series The Art Gallery Problem (2025), and the program series’ Here, Better, Now (2023), Nearshore Gatherings (2022), and Running with Concepts: The Mediatic Edition (2020–21, co-curated with Alison Cooley). He has served as an editor and writer on Blackwood publications including The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge series (15 issues, 2018–2023), Living with Concepts (2023), and Back Up Your Data! (2021). Fraser has coordinated significant Blackwood offsite and public programs including Weathering (2024), Lyfeboat prototype (2022), Living with Concepts (2021–24) and Futurity Island at MIT (2019). Fraser is an interdisciplinary artist of settler Euro-Canadian ancestry, whose work has been exhibited at HKW, Berlin; Sheridan College, Oakville; Modern Fuel, Kingston; and The Art Museum at the University of Toronto. His video works have been screened by the plumb, LIFT, Hamilton Artists Inc., and Trinity Square Video.
