CCDMP Family Movie Day 2024
The Centre for Child Development, Mental Health, and Policy hosted families from the Peel Region for a free screening of the new Pixar movie, Inside Out 2, on June 15, 2024!
The event took place at the Winston Churchill Cineplex in Oakville, with around 70 attendees, including many past participants in our research. It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces after so many years. Inside Out 2 was chosen because it beautifully illustrates the complexities of emotions, aligning perfectly with our research focus.
Attendees enjoyed complimentary popcorn and drink combos and were given an activity booklet that included resources to build empathy based on our research and fun activities for children.
There were pre-show activities and trivia, where children won many different prizes. We also held a raffle, with the grand prize featuring our custom tote bag and two issues of our pip o. Gazette magazine.
