What are Building Patrollers?
Building Patrol members are full-time uniformed personnel employed by the University of Toronto who provide security across campus. All Building Patrol members are security guards licensed by the Province of Ontario. Members are equipped with a Campus Safety radio and work closely with UTM Special Constables. All Building Patrol members are certified in standard first aid and CPR training.
Building Patrol members perform a variety of duties that can include foot patrols, checking and securing doors, providing access to spaces, reporting suspicious activity/property damage, and assisting with Walk Safe escorts.
