Dubai-born Rafay Agha studied political science and professional writing and communication at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Since graduating from UTM in November 2009, Agha has relocated to London, England to work with media agency OMD UK. As the firm's associate director of social media, Agha creates media campaign strategies, handles client social media accounts and manages blogger outreach.
During his student days, Agha was a DJ with the campus radio station, CFRE, and contributed to The Medium newspaper as a writer and associate arts and entertainment editor. However, it was a professional writing and communications course taught by professor and Life Rattle Press founder Guy Allen, that helped Agha find his feet as a writer. One of Agha's fondest memories of his student days is picking up his collection of short stories, Unmentionables: Stories from the Bottom Drawer, from the printer. The book was written for Allen's class, Making a Book.
"Guy Allen really pushed me," Agha says. "You wanted do good by him, and do the best you possibly could.”
