Students of the Week 5

Angus HoAngus Ho

Angus is a graduate of McMaster University and holds an Honors Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology degree. His work has been recently published in the Journal of Cell Science. Angus enjoys exchanging ideas and building relationships.  He regularly attends research conferences and has won numerous presentation awards.

Angus hopes he MMI program will help him combine his interests in science and business.  He is seeking opportunities in the healthcare industry and is targeting strategy and consulting roles. 

 


 

Illaha TahirIllaha Tahir

Illaha Tahir received her Honours Bachelor degree in Health and Disease and Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto.  Her studies and volunteer work with the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre allowed her to develop a profound interest in recognizing barriers in healthcare.  She hopes the MMI will give her the opportunity to gain the skills required to implement innovative strategies to positively influence the lives of those suffering from illnesses.

Illaha is seeking opportunities in the healthcare industry where she can apply her strong communication, leadership, team work and analytical skills. 

 


 

Robert ColaguoriRobert Colaguori

Robert holds a Master’s of Science and specialized in medicinal chemistry. He received NSERC and OGS scholarships for his graduate research and has strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.  He hopes to use his knowledge of chemistry and drug development to secure a role in the pharmaceutical industry.

Outside of school, Robert has used his love of music to benefit the community as the bassist of the Semiotones charity band. Proceeds accumulated by the group through album sales are donated to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
