Students of the Week 1

Sami AbdelhaqSami Abdelhaq

Sami is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Carleton University and recently completed a one-year internship at Suncor. Sami used his analytical and problem-solving skills to assess equipment performance resulting in increased operational efficiency, safety, and profitability.

Sami has a passion for innovation and seeks to apply his MMI studies to a role where he can optimize business processes.  He is looking to work in consulting and has experience with start-ups in the finance industry.   

 


 

Tori EdgarMMI Student Tori Edgar

Tori is a graduate of Western University where she completed a Bachelor of Health Science.  During her four years there, she was a member of the school’s varsity soccer team and received several academic and athletic honours.

Tori continues to be a varsity athlete while completing her graduate studies at the University of Toronto and plays on the women’s soccer team.  She has strong interpersonal abilities as well as highly developed critical thinking skills.

Last summer, Tori completed a marketing internship with Bayer.  She hopes her MMI studies will allow her to continue working in the healthcare sector.  She is seeking project management, consulting and strategy roles.

 


 

Amanpreet SinghMMI Student Amanpreet Singh

Amanpreet holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology and Geography from the University of Toronto. He has a strong interest in sustainability and policy development and has completed several internships with the International Union for Conservation of Nature and the United Nations.

Amanpreet has a passion for the performing arts and has participated in numerous plays and concerts. In his spare time, Amanpreet designs video games and recently launched his first mobile game - “Tap N’ Time.” He has a strong interest in fitness, nutrition and healthy living which have taught him the importance of personal discipline and goal setting.  necessary in setting and achieving personal and professional goals.
