Al-Qaim recently graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology.  Throughout his undergraduate degree Al-Qaim remained active around campus, taking on the position of Vice President in the Ismaili Student’s Association, and volunteering in organizations such as The Victoria Mustard Seed, Relay for Life, CIBC Run for the Cure, World Partnership Walk, and the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank.

Past employment for Al-Qaim includes working with the Lindsay Virtual Human Team in the The University of Calgary’s Undergraduate Medical Education department. In this position, he created iBooks and tutorials, which were available to the faculty’s students and staff. In his spare time, Al-Qaim enjoys staying active as he comes from many years of competitive soccer. He enjoyed a successful soccer career as a member of the Alberta Provincial Team and was recruited to play in the National Training Centre. Numerous years in soccer have afforded him leadership qualities and communication skills.

Al-Qaim is excited to combine his background in biology with a strong foundation in business and management, as he hopes to obtain a leadership role in the healthcare sector.
