Bio

My name is Cassandra Francella, and I was the representative and valedictorian for the Digital Health Technologies (DHT) class of 2021. My journey in the pharmaceutical industry began with an internship as part of Hoffmann-La Roche’s Pharma Technical Organization within the Digital Incubator as a Supply Chain Analytics associate where I developed my knowledge of global supply chain and developed my skills within the data and analytics space. Following my internship, I transitioned into the Global Supply Chain Insights and Analytics team, where I currently serve as an Integrated Insights Analyst, acting as an analytical and technical consultant. In this role, I collaborate and liaise with various business partners in supply chain to help translate business needs into technical requirements. I often look to leverage data and build interactive analytical dashboards to help provide insight into our performance and make informed business decisions. Before MBiotech, I held roles as a data analyst and researcher in clinical and academic settings. I earned my HBSc in Biology and Forensic Science from the University of Toronto and completed my MSC in Neuroscience & Bioinformatics at McMaster University, where I contributed and published a peer-reviewed research paper and a textbook chapter within the microbiome field. During my master's, I developed a passion for data analytics, storytelling, and visualization, driving my interest in the DHT stream.

Embrace your curiosity! It's perfectly fine not to have your entire career path mapped out. Pursue your passions, always focus on developing new skills and remain open to new opportunities; you never know where it may lead you! Additionally, create a supportive network and assemble your cheer squad! Your cheer squad should consist of people who can offer guidance, share their insights, and genuinely support your career journey. They understand your capabilities and are willing to advocate for you, standing in your corner!
