FY Foundations LLC

About

In collaboration with The Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy, the FY Foundations LLC is for first-year students to learn and acquire the foundations of being a successful student at UTM. This LLC was designed with a focus on helping students develop reading and writing skills, in addition to learning how to live on their own for the first time. If you want the opportunity to take your learning outside the classroom to continue to develop your reading and writing skills and make long-lasting friendships, we encourage you to apply!

Students in the FY Foundations LLC are encouraged to be enrolled in ISP100 'Writing for University and Beyond'. This is a required course for any student interested in pursuing a program in Anthropology (excluding Forensic Science), Astronomy, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Physics, Political Science, or Visual Studies. Acceptance into the LLC will preferably be given to those planning to enrol in the fall. However, students planning to enrol in ISP100 in the winter term may also apply to the LLC.
