Canada Summer Jobs

The Human Resources department at U of T Mississauga provides information concerning Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ). This program is part of the "Federal Government Youth Employment and Learning Strategy" summer employment initiatives. CSJ focuses on youth by providing work experience and development learning experience to in-school youth during the summer months.

The objective of the CSJ is to provide a wage subsidy to employers to create incremental jobs for students in order to prepare them for future labor market participation.

The application deadline is usually in February each year. The application assessment phase is typically completed in April in order that employers will be able to have students begin working in May. Please confirm deadline dates directly with the UTM Human Resources Department.
