Executive Administration and Human Resources Manager, United Way of Peel Region
Christopher Thompson is a passionate young leader who has a desire to empower others and give back to the community. As a student at U of T Mississauga, Thompson held many leadership roles, managing the student centre and representing 13,000 students as president of the Student Union.
In addition to being appointed the current chair of the United Way Region of Peel Young Leaders Council, Thompson also serves on the University of Toronto Mississauga Alumni Association as vice-president, student engagement, a role in which he works enhance the student experience and mentor students as they graduate into the workforce.
Thompson previously worked for the United Way of Peel Region as a strategist on millennial engagement, strategic planning, social media, speech writing, brand recognition and community engagement.
He says that he prioritizes community development and enjoys giving back with the hopes of inspiring and empowering others.
