The end of the Cold War in 1991 marked a new era promising greater peace, democracy and prosperity for the whole planet. Nevertheless, a quarter of a century later, the state of world affairs has hardly turned out as expected—lethal conflicts abound, democracy is challenged and economic crises continue to develop.
Examine how the world looks today, how we got here and what possible scenarios lie ahead for the future of global affairs, at a Classes Without Quizzes lecture featuring international relations expert, Professor Spyridon Kotsovilis of the Department of Political Sciences.
